VÄV 2011 - The 12th handweaving fair

15 - 17 September

 

The handweaving fair produced by the Swedish Weave Council, in partnership with Slöjd i väst, the Textile museum and Borås city. The program is packed with lectures, textile exhibitions, guided bus tours to major textile sites, Vävtorget where 70 vendors show equipment, materials and literature.

Shuttle buses will run between the various venues throughout VÄV 2011.

The Textile Museum: TEXTILE PORTRAITS. Thirteen personalities, all following different career paths with one thing in common – their training in Borås. With the exhibition and seminar The Ring – jewel forever Gallery Hnoss manifests that the activities of the artist run jewellery art and design gallery will change from now on. After this grand gathering they will leave the gallery space to work in other ways in the future.

 

The seminar is a collaboration with HDK - Jewellery Art Department University of Gothenburg and Gallery Hnoss.

 

Seminar language is English.

 

Seminar fee is 100 SEK. Lunch is not included.
